I feel so happy and so alive! I thank heaven for all I have been blessed with. I look forward to all this journey has in store for me with excitement and fear, joy and worry. I believe my work has stories to tell and audiences for those stories.

If my own story were to have a moral it would be this: “Do not be afraid to dream. Fight like hell and if you’re lucky, with the wind at your back, you can fly.”

Woman of Words began when it dawned on me that I had my own words to speak and my own pictures to paint. I finally had permission to be myself.

What is your nemesis? When you are in its grip is it like being trapped? Is it a jar? a box? school? house? job? relationship? health? persona? Is it past or present? Is the wall transparent, solid or you’re not even sure because you can only see the micro view? How did you/will you escape?

Complex geometric shapes tell the story of humanity coming together to create something magnificent and then being split apart. Are we on a linear, circular or spiraling path? Can we influence what happens next?

I have always been drawn to the moon and sun. They are timeless, consistent, available, free.

Cats ask for so little and give so much. They bring laughter, joy and love into a home. And you don’t have to send them to college.
